Flames host the Stars in game one of the
play-downs!
And
so the playoffs begin! The Georgian Bay Triangle LL play-downs have started and
the Flames
find themselves in the Novice B pool ready to face five other opponents from
this season. We will play against the Wasaga Stars, the Coldwater Wildcats, the
Essa Eagles and Georgian Shores Lightning!
Game one of the GBT LL play-downs was a very exciting one. The Flames had a tone of energy and did not stop from puck drop to final buzzer of the third period!
The Flames were without #11 Fournier who suffered a few broken fingers at a birthday party the night before (ok I thought I would never say those words until our boys are at least 18) but Drew was there wearing his home jersey and cheering on his team mates to victory!
His BFF #30 Beatty was feeling very bad that #11 could not play and made a decision that he was going to try and get a shut-out for Drew…..and what do you know – he did it! This could not have been possible without the outstanding work by his defensive team mates; #3 Cole, #8 Charlebois, #17 Hamelin, #91 Dupuis-Cundy, #15 Brown and #93 Bradley.
Great work by our forwards who scored our goals; #19 Monague, #9 Chicoine (2), #87 Calvert; who assisted in those goals #53 Lim, #66 Grenier, #44 Boyle, #10 Ingram and #7 Wright. Great work by each and everyone of you who played so very well as a team!
Yesterday’s game left me feeling so very proud as a parent. The Novice LL team played with speed, drive and determination. The group worked as a team as they passed the puck, finished great plays and never stopped trying. Keep up the great work!
