Last Game of Regular Season......What a Game!
Submitted By sbeatty on Friday, February 5, 2016
Flames host Midland Centennials 2 for the final game of the 2015-16 Season!

The last game of the regular Novice LL 2015-2016 season opened with a little ‘Whip and Nae Nae’ for Coach Jay. Thank you to all the players for being such great sports at the last minute being asked to perform on the blue line just before the game!

With the dance moves still in their head, the Flames came out strong and played an excellent game against the Centennials. We certainly caught them off-guard right from the beginning and they knew this was not the same team they had faced earlier in the season.

The forward lines played extremely well with their aggressive moves and solid fore-checking. The line of #19 Monague, #10 Ingram, #7 Wright was on fire and thanks to #7 Wright for finishing each play and putting two rebounds in the net to give the Flames the two goals of the game. Great team work by the defensive players, who helped cleared the puck and with a solid heads-up play by #3 Cole assisted on the second goal of the game.

Great team work, sportsmanship and perseverance by each and everyone of the Flames team. It was great to see #93 Bradley back on defence and his team mates #91 Dupuis-Cudy, #15 Brown, #8 Charlebois and #17 Hamelin were happy to have his help. Well done forwards on getting the puck up the ice and into the Centennials zone, #9 Chicoine led the charge and #66 Grenier and #44 Boyle  did there best to great some great opportunities. As always the line of #11 Fournier, #53 Lim, #87 Calvert played with grit and determination some of the bigger Centennials forwards were no match for this line….right #11 you showed them! And finally, great work once again #30 Beatty in net, who played quite an aggressive game – well done Kyle you have made me a very proud goalie mom this season!

Thank you once again to our great coaching and support staff, Coach Jay, Coach Beatty, Coach Jeff and Manager Cara Fournier. Looking forward to some very exciting playoff hockey! Keep up the great work team and FANS please keep coming out to cheer the team, we greatly appreciate your support.
