Penetang Flames Host the Elmvale Coyotes
What a great game Flames!

The Penetang Flames hosted the Elmvale Coyotes on Saturday January 9th and this was the second time the Flames came up against the Coyotes this season. The Flames came out strong against the Coyotes right from the puck drop to the every end of the third period!

The Flames forward lines of #19 Monague, #10 Ingram, #7 Wright; #11 Fournier, #53 Lim, #87 Calvert and of #66 Grenier, #44  Boyle and #9 Chicoine played very well and demonstrated that through their team work, passing and fore-checking. With some additional help from #3 Cole and #17 Hamelin playing both forward and defence the team keep the Coyotes busy at their end and the goalie on his toes.

The first two periods of play were exciting and with a house-full of dedicated Flames fans, there was very little sitting going on. A special thanks to our “Lucky Charm” #93 Bradley who was there with his family cheering on his team mates! The Coyotes continued to apply the pressure in the Flames zones but thanks to great defensive work by #91 Dupuis-Cudy, #15 Brown, #8 Charlebois and by #30 Beatty in net, the team was determined to keep the game tight.

Going into the third period tied at 0-0, the Flames did not stop and #7 Wright found the back of the net thanks to some great team work and passing from #19 Monague and #10 Ingram. The Flames took the lead 1-0 and with only 4:03 minutes left to play, the fans were on the edge of their seats, the coaching staff was tense and the Flames wanted so much to see a victory against the Coyotes at home. The Coyotes played with great determination in the last few minutes of the game and they made sure there top player #19 had the puck as much as possible. Although #30 Beatty had stoned him several times throughout the game, he managed with less than a minute left on the clock to score a goal and tie the game 1-1.

The Flames played a great game of hockey and everyone in attendance was extremely proud of every single member of that Novice LL team! Great work Flames and keep up the great work into the end of the regular season!

So much fun watching you play and develop as a team – coaches you should be very proud!
