Lindsay LL Hockey Tournament
What a great day of Hockey for the Penetang Flames Novice LL team. Three great games in one day and boy did the team work hard and do Penetang Proud.

Game One

The Penetang Flames versus The Lakefield Chiefs

The team got off to a somewhat slow start, but managed to turn it on late in the second and into the third. The Chiefs scored one in the first and the next two in the second. The Flames responded and gone a goal in the third and put the Flames on the score board. The goal was scored by #87 Calvert thanks to a great pass from line mate #66 on the play. Congratulations on #87 Ethan Calvert on Player of the Game. 

Game Two

The Penetang Flames versus The New Hamburg Huskies

The second game of the day proved to be an exciting one for the entire team and the Flames took the game 4-0. Great offensive and defensive played by the entire team. Goals scored by #91 Dupuis-Cundy as he finished his play sliding across the ice, by #87 Calvert scoring short handed while the Flames worked to kill the penalty time, and two additional goals by #19 Monague sealing the deal for the Flames and for #30 Beatty’s first career shutout as a goalie!

Congratulations on #91 Liam Dupuis-Cundy on Player of the Game. 

Game Three

The Penetang Flames versus The Lindsay Muskies

After a long day of play, the Flames took the ice for the final game of the day. The Flames had to work hard killing some penalty minutes, but no short handed goals. The team worked hard and did not give you the entire game. The Muskies got the better of the Flames and the final score was 4-0.

Great work on defence all weekend by #3 Cole, #15 Brown, #44 Boyle, #8 Charlebois, and #93 Bradley.

Special mention to the forwards #19 Monague, #91 Dupuis-Cundy, #11 Fournier, #17 Hamelin,#66 Grenier,#7 Wright, #9 Chicoine and #87 Calvert.

Great work between the pipes for the Flames all weekend #30 Beatty – well done!

Congratulations on #7 Evan Wright on Player of the Game. 

Overall a great day of hockey for the Flames. Thank you to Coach Jay, Trainer Jeff and Rob for helping out. Great work by the team manager Cara Fournier for making restaurant reservations, getting hotel details to the team and for keeping us on track.
