Flames host Oro and make the trip to Oro
The Penetang Novice LL Flames had a busy weekend hosting Oro #1 on Saturday and making the trip to Oro to play against Oro #2. This weekends hockey was packed full of passion, grit and fire by the Penetang Flames players, coaches and even the fans……ok the Manager!
Saturdays game was a well played game with great offences chances and great goal tending by #31 Ryan C. The team played very well together and held Oro to only four goals throughout the well played 30 minutes of play. The Flames had a few great scoring opportunities, but unfortunately could not put one over the blue line.
Congratulations to players of the game #31 Ryan C for the great goal tending and #10 Nathan G. who had a great break-a-way and put it off the post!
The Sunday game proved to be an action packed game and the Flames came out strong against a much larger and more aggressive Oro team. The Oro Thunder had several penalties throughout the very long game, and unfortunately the Flames could not take advantage of the power play.
The Flames played hard and skated even harder to keep the Oro Thunder in check. Despite the great defensive and offensive work by the team, the final score was 6 to 0 for Oro.
