The Ground Up Design U21LL Flames are up 2-0 in their Championship series against the Beeton Stingers

These teams met for the very first time this season in a spirited "get to know you" Game#1 last Sunday, which saw the Flames score 45 seconds into the game but ending the first tied 2-2 after giving up a 2 goal lead.
The offense came to life for the home team in the second frame, scoring 4 unanswered goals to take a commanding 7-2 lead into the third.
Frustrations started to boil over for the visitors and the Flames capitalized with 2 PP goals in the final frame and come away with a convincing 9-2W and 1-0 series lead.

Game #2 was a much more disciplined affair that was close from start to finish.
Tied 0-0 after the 1st period the Flames knew this game was going to be more of a challenge.
They outscored Beeton 3-0 in the 2nd and looked to be coasting to a Game 2 victory. The Stingers had other ideas and scored twice in the first 4 minutes of the 3rd period to make it 3-2,creating a very exciting back and forth match up that saw several great saves from both goaltenders and some bad luck with the iron for Penetang.
The Flames were finally able to score an empty net goal with a minute left to seal the W and take a commanding 2-0 series lead back to Penetang for Game #3 Saturday March 2nd @7:05.
The team would love all the support they can get Saturday as they try to clinch the first championship of the season for PMHA!!!
