The Novice division is the next progression beyond the Initiation division in building life long hockey players. Our overarching goal remains the same - to teach the fundamentals of hockey in a fun, supportive and stimulating environment. To achieve this goal, we have two different levels with each building upon the previous level.
U8
- For kids aged 7
- Focus on fundamental hockey skills + power skating
- 40+ hours of team practice that focuses on skills development
- Regular season in the GBTLL
- 1.5-2.5 hours of ice time per week
- 75+ on ice hours total for year (2.5 hour/wk on average)
U9
- For kids aged 8
- Focus on fundamental hockey skills + power skating
- 40+ hours of team practice that focuses on skills development
- Regular season and playoff tournament in the GBTLL
- 1.5-2.5 hours of ice time per week
- 75+ on ice hours total for year (2.5 hour/wk on average)
