U11 Rep Team Impresses at Midland Hockey Tournament with Dominant Play and Sportsmanship
The Tom Smith U11 B Flames hockey team recently competed in the Midland U11/U13 Rep tournament and put on a fantastic display of skill and sportsmanship.
Throughout the round-robin play, the team impressed with their dominant passing, communication, forechecking, and backchecking. They secured wins over some tough competition, including an 8-5 victory over the Georgina Blaze A, an 8-3 win over Nickel City Sons A, and a 10-1 win over Mount Forest.
The team's solid play continued into the semi-finals, where they secured a 10-4 win over St. Thomas. This set up a highly-anticipated finals match with the Midland Centennials. Both teams played exceptionally well and the game was a nail-biter, with Midland ultimately coming out on top with a 3-2 victory.
Despite the loss in the finals, the U11 B team should be proud of their performance throughout the tournament. They displayed teamwork, skill and sportsmanship and no doubt made their community proud. Congratulations to the team on a fantastic tournament and to both teams on a great tournament overall.
