Double Championship Weekend - Novice Reps & Bantam Reps Both Win
Submitted By Duane Homick on Monday, October 29, 2018
Congratulations to our Bantam Rep team on winning the Brian English Memorial tournament this past weekend in Elmvale and our Novice Rep team on winning the P.E.C. Milk Tournament this past weekend in Prince Edward County.

The Bantam Rep team was dominant outscoring opponents 15-3 take take top spot in the round robin.  A tight 2-1 win in the semi-final setup a rematch with the South Bruce Blades in the Finals. With a 5-2 victory, the bantams took home the Brian English Tournament Title.  The team went 5-0 outscoring their opponents 22-6.

Good luck in Lake Placid, NY next weekend!

The Novice Reps team had an undefeated round robin as well.  Penetang took the top seed and headed into the semi finals where they played a tough semi-final game knocking off the Muskrat Voyageurs 4-2.

The finals was a nail biter and after the teams swapped a pair of late third period goals, they headed to overtime tied 3-3. When overtime solved nothing, the teams went to a 3 player shootout. Still deadlocked following the first three shooters, they continued in a sudden victory format for a fourth shooter where the Flames came out victorious!

Go Flames Go!
