U18 C Honour Graduating Players
The Ground Up Design U18 Rep C celebrated their graduating players last Sunday, in what was a must win playoff game.

The night began with Penetanguishene Mayor Doug Rawson giving a welcoming speech to the visiting South Muskoka Bears, our Flames and the fans. There was plenty of support in the stands for the Flames. The first and second year U18 players created a stick arch. Siblings of the last year players skated through the stick arch and joined Mayor Doug Rawson near the penalty boxes.   The younger Flames then announced their brothers and joined them and their teammates on the blueline for the national anthem before the action started.

It was a great night for the graduates and the rest of their team. Andrew Tous with 3 goals, Kemper Blundell, Riley Desroches and Tanner Cox all picked up assists in the game. While the line of first year U18’s combined for 7 points on a 2 G 1 A effort from Wyles Charlebois, 1G 1 A for Ryley Piotrowski and 2 helpers for B

rody Monague, while Cole Tucker chipped in from the point with a pair of assists.

In a win or go home game the Flames jumped out to an early 2-0 in the first 6 minutes of the game on goals from Tous and Charlebois. A consistent effort and attention to detail defensively and the Flames finding the back of the net 3 times on another goal from Charlebois and 2 more markers to give Tous the hat trick. The home team headed the dressing room with a 5-0 lead after 2. The third period was action packed as South Muskoka scored 2 and looked to have the Flames on their heels.  Piotrowski answered with the 6th goal of the game for Penetang and clinched a spot in the semifinals next Saturday in Huntsville.
