Initiation/Tyke Update (Nov 9, 2017)
We are now two months into the season and I hope everyone has been enjoying the new program this year.  I'd like to share a few updates including some scheduling changes that are coming and information about picture day.

Good afternoon everyone,

We are now two months into the season and I hope everyone has been enjoying the new program this year.  I'd like to share a few updates including some scheduling changes that are coming and information about picture day.

Nov 10th to 12th Scheduling Changes (THIS WEEKEND!)

The 11:55am ice time on Nov. 11th has been cancelled to make room for the King for a Day special event later that day.  This means we are adjusting the schedule for Friday and Sunday.

Mite #1 & #2 - Practice on Friday at 5pm and Sunday at 2pm
Intro To Hockey - Practice on Sunday at 2pm
Tyke - Practice on Friday at 5pm and Saturday at 7am

Post Dec. 1 Scheduling Changes

As mentioned previously, our Initiation/Tyke division schedule will be changing after Dec. 1st.  While we have a general idea of how things will shake out, we won't know everything until after the Tyke LL games are scheduled.  The Tyke LL scheduling meeting has been set for Nov. 19th where all 14 of the Tyke LL games will be scheduled.  Once that has been completed, we will be able to update the Initiation/Tyke schedule and will update the PMHA website accordingly.  For planning purposes, remember that all Initiation/Tyke ice times will be any of the following:

Friday at 5pm
Saturday at 7am
Saturday at 11:55am
Sunday at 2pm

Note: Away games will vary.

Picture Day

Picture day is Thurs Nov. 23rd at the Penetang Arena.  Pictures are upstairs in the main hall.  Players should come fully dressed or get dressed in the dressing room (use skateguards if you have them).  Do not get dressed in the hallway upstairs.  There is not enough room.

I've attached the order form if you want to print it out and bring it with you (recommended).  There will also be forms available on picture day.

Schedule is as follows:
Intro To Hockey - 5:00pm
Mite HL #1 - 5:40pm
Mite HL #2 - 6:00pm
Tyke - 6:20pm

King for a Day

The second annual Tyke King for a Day event will be taking place on Nov. 11th at 2:20pm.  The Tyke players will be invited to practice with the Kings and then hang out with them afterwards in their dressing room.  Players are also invited to attend the Kings game later that evening.

IP Fun Festival

A few volunteers from the Mite division have been busy trying to set up the first ever IP fun festival in Penetang.  This one day tournament would allow our Mite players to partake in games and fun during the second half of the season and also act as a fundraiser for the team.  If you would like to help out with this event, please contact Liz, Cheryl or Jon.  Many thanks to them for spearheading this effort.

Respect In Sport - Parent

If this is your first year as a parent in the PMHA, then you MUST complete the Respect in Sport - Parent program.  If you do not complete it, then your child will not be able to partake in any tournaments/festivals.  Please complete it today - https://omhahockeyparent.respectgroupinc.com/

On Ice Volunteers

Thank you to everyone that is helping out on the ice.  This program has received tremendous support from parents lacing them up and getting out on the ice.  Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
