Flames unbeaten in three games
The Penetanguishene Foodland bantam local league Flames ran their unbeaten streak to three games with a 3-2 win over the Elmvale Coyotes on Sunday night.

The Flames led 1-0 after one period, and 3-0 by midway through the second, but an easy victory was not in the cards.
Elmvale mounted a spirited comeback, scoring late in the second period and early in the third to reduce the lead to one. If not for some timely saves by Flames goalie Jacob Bernard, the win might have become a tie or even a loss.
Stephen Lefaive led Penetang with two goals. Mitchell Taylor had a goal and an assist. Gavin Marion and Marcel Dorion also earned helpers.
In a heart-stopping Nov. 9 tie against Midland 1, the Flames gave up a second-period goal and trailed 1-0 until late in the third period, when Marion knotted things up with just 39 seconds remaining on the clock. Taylor and Owen Mealing were credited with assists.
The goal came with goalie Nathan Howe on the bench for an extra attacker.
