Tough second period Flames' undoing
Owen Mealing's first goal of the season gave the Penetanguishene bantam local league Flames an early 1-0 lead against the Wasaga Beach Stars on Saturday night.
Unfortunately, things went downhill for the home team from there.

The visitors scored the next seven straight goals -- including six in a disastrous second period -- to take the game 9-3.
Flames goalie Nathan Howe couldn't be blamed for this one, as the Stars managed to find space behind the Penetang defence for a number of breakaway chances.
Dylan Lortie and Marcel Dorion scored for the Flames in the third period. Assists were recorded by Lortie and Kyle St. Amant.
Newly named captain Johnny Rankin provided a Penetang highlight with a daring solo rush from his own blue line that nearly resulted in a goal.
The Flames return to the ice Sunday for a home game against Collingwood. Game time is 7 p.m.
