OMHA Announces 2015-16 Program Changes
On February 27, Associations were advised that the OMHA will be implementing further program changes for next season (2015-16). Specifically, the OMHA will be removing Body Checking from all Recreational Hockey Programs at the Bantam, Midget and Juvenile Levels.

This will impact all Teams at the Local League Level. Body Checking will remain at the competitive Rep Hockey Levels, for Divisions Bantam and above.

Our Association will continue to provide specialized skill instruction on this aspect of game play, helping to teach our Players safe contact skills, so that Players moving to the Bantam level will be better prepared for potential contact situations, regardless of whether they are playing at the Local League or Rep Levels.
